Specialty center applications open TOMORROW September 28 at 9:00 am.  This is a one-pager has everything families need to begin the application.  All information is also available in the FMS school counseling Schoology course.  Reach out to Mrs. Smith-Bolar, our 8th grade school counselor or Mrs. Morgan, our director of school counseling if you have any questions or concerns.  

Center for the Arts field trip is scheduled for October 16th. 7th and 8th grade students interested in attending should pick up a permission form in their grade level cafeteria beginning Tuesday.  All permission forms should be submitted by Friday October 9.  

The FMS school counseling team will facilitate the Signs of Suicide lesson in all 8th grade Health/PE classes beginning on October 5th.  The Signs of Suicide is a universal, school-based prevention program that teaches students about this difficult topic and encourages them to seek help.  More information about the program can be found https://www.mindwise.org/parents/ for parents/guardians. Parents, please return the opt out form that will be distributed during 8th grade health/PE classes this week, to school counseling if you do NOT want your child to participate in the lessons.
