About the STEAM In Sports Innovation Lab at Fairfield Middle School: Launched in 2026 through a $25,600 Henrico Education Foundation Innovative Solutions Grant with our friends at Hungary Creek, Fairfield Middle School has reimagined our fitness space into a premiere "LifeReady" workspace designed for every student.
Anchored by HCPS's first professional-grade golf simulator, this lab embraces Henrico's Core Value of Innovation by remaining bold and agile in our approach to student engagement. In this space, students Collaborate and support each other's Critical Thinking by acting as data analysts, generating their own live performance metrics to solve authentic Math, Science, PE & Health and coding design challenges.
But it's not just about golf (as much as we love it)!!
Our lab will be the central hub for where any student interest can connect to sports and activity. Whether we are 3D-printing custom sports gear, integrating our Fairfield Studio, hosting student exhibitions, representing Fairfield E-Sports, using VR to architect the sports venues of the future and so much more, this is where our interests meet innovation
