Wednesday, November 4th is a B Day (Blocks 5-8)

Pop Into Good Attendance SURPRISE

On Wednesday, October 28th, our first half-day of the school year, the FMS attendance team pulled on a little surprise for our Falcons!

Every Falcon that showed up for school received a delicious Blow Pop as a part of their lunch! This may seem small to some, but our babies loved this treat.

Our current chornic absentism rate is 14.26%. As a reminder the goal at the end of the year is to be under 15%.

Math Elite Is Back!

For the second year our 8th grade math team has kicked off our Math Elite Club. The Math Elite Club is comprised of students that score an 80 or above on their quarterly assessment.

For Q1 we celebrated 127 students with a delicious pizza party. In addition, students get to see their name highlighted on the board in their very own grade level cafe!

We know the membership will continue to grow, so we already preparing additional space!

Donuts with My Dude Event-CHANGE

We wanted to share a quick update about our upcoming Donuts with My Dude event! We’ve adjusted the event time to 1:50–3:15 PM to accommodate our 6th graders and give all students the opportunity to participate.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work to make this event special and inclusive for everyone.

School Counseling Corner

6th and 7th grade students who have applied for the IB program for the 2027-2028 school year will take the writing assessment on Thursday, November 5th from 10:00am-11:00am with Mrs. Morgan, our Director of School Counseling.

Interested in Cristo Rey High School?

We have another field trip coming up for 8th graders interested in learning more about Cristo Rey High School in Richmond. We will visit their campus on Tuesday, November 17th to speak with students and staff about their courses and programs.
